<Construction Supply Chain Management> is an elective module for students who wish to enhance their knowledge of other job opportunities available beside the typical Quantity Surveyor’s scope of works. CSCM  is the network of organisations involved in different stages of processes of delivering goods or services. It is the coordination of material, information and financial flows among all the participant organisations.

This is an assignment based module, we have one individual assignment and one group assignment assigned by Ms.Tay.

For our individual assignment, we are asked to derive market segmentation for the company (TU Property Development) that we own. The company has a land bank includes a piece of land at 10 acre beside One Utama Shopping Mall. With the research we did, then suggest the best product which best fit to the piece of land.

As for the group assignment, it aims to familiarise us with the current technology trend in the industry and enable us  to analyse the impact of the technology towards construction supply chain management. We are asked to prepare a report about Building information modelling (BIM).

REFLECTION

With this module and the teaching of Ms.Tay, I am able to identify the issues and analyse the performance of construction supply chain. Also I can generate a report of construction industry case. I truly appreciate Ms.Tay who always prepare the construction report and article for our studies.
