In <Measurement III> we learnt the measurement of doors, windows, seeding and turfing, roof trusses, roof finishes, roof drainage, structural steel works and metal works. It also covers the principles, purpose and functions of Standard Method of Measurement (SMM2) including the descriptions , measurement principles and standard phraseology

  In this module, we were graded by the mid-term test, group assignment which form a group of 5 people & final exam. For our group assignment, we were asked to prepare taking off of doors and window for a condo or small offices, home offices or services apartment or residential properties. In this assignment, we formed a group of 3, my group member had get a drawing plan of a bungalow of 3 floors nearby Bangsar village. Each person are to measure at least one type of doors and window. We then prepared Bills of Quantity (BQ) with our measurement.

    Moreover, we have an hour of software class in this semester which taught by Mr.Yeap SK. The software that we use are Glodon and Revit. With these software, we can create 3D images for pile cap, isolated foundation, columns and so on. I find it quite tough at first but when with the patient teaching of Mr.Yeap, I am able to function the software.

REFLECTION 

Throughout this module, I find myself have better understanding and idea to read the engineering drawing plans with the precise explaination of Mr.Soon during lectures and tutorial class. Mr.Soon is patience to explain every single question that we asked him during lectures, tutorial class and consultation hour for assignment.
