<Management Science> covers the fundamental, theories, concepts and principles of management in an organisation. Throughout this module, we had learnt strategic management, define the operation of different types of organisations in the construction industry, execute SWOT analysis for decision making, understand the organisation

structure and culture, human resource management and adopt communication skills. 

 

This module consists of a mid-term test, a group project with maximum 6 members and a final examination. With these, we are able to  develop awareness and understanding of the different types of management tools in the construction industry and to enhance employment prospectus and also understand management principles and to equip the students with a knowledge of its application in construction projects. Also, Ms.Tay also taught us how to define a good job vacancy advertisement.

In our group assignment, we are to start up an company with the capital of RM1 million. By applying the knowledge we have been taught by Ms.Tay in class on our assignment such as creating memorable and informative mission, vision and goals of company, design an organisation chart  and interview activities to complete our assignment.
