<CONSTRUCTION TECH II> enable the development and establishment of a base knowledge of the fundamental principles of design and technology of the construction industry. In this module , we learnt to appreciate the decisions made on design, functional element, selection and the rational and economic use of resources. It also explains the fundamentals of piled foundations, deep excavation, formworks, scaffoldings, shoring and underpinning, partition and suspended ceilings, portal frames, precast concrete and steel roof trusses.
In this module, we were graded by the mid-term test, an individual assignment, also a group assignment which form a group of 5 people and final exam assigned by our lecturer.

REFLECTION
After undergoing lectures and tutorials, I was able to provide an overview of the concept and knowledge on the actual construction practice on the site and apply the complete constructional procedures of various type of building with suitable materials and design.

INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT
In this assignment, we were given 20 drawings related to the syllabus. Then, we are instructed to sketch in given templates.
The objectives of this assignment is to develop the ability of us to apply the complete constructional procedures of building and most importantly is to illustrate each stage of the building and design process, with carefully labelled with the relevant technical terms.

GROUP ASSIGNMENT
We had formed a group of 5 to carry out this assignment. We were required to visit a building site or more to observe and video any construction process practiced in Malaysia. So, we were expected to produce a 20 minutes video about the construction processes involved on site from what we learnt from CT topics of semester 1-3.

My groupmates and I located our construction site at Bandar Kinrara, Mukim Petaling, Selangor. Double-storey terrace houses will be construct by the developement, Avens. We had go to the site back and forth for several times in order to capture the procedures on time. Last , after our discussion , my group had set our video topic as <RAFT FOUNDATION VS. PILE FOUNDATION>.
